Service providers work with children birth to 3 years of age and their families in the home, community or at Adirondack Enrichment.
Services Adirondack Enrichment provides for children and their families are:

Speech-Language Therapy

Special Instruction by a Special Education Teacher

Assistive Technology
Children qualify for the above services through a family friendly evaluation that is coordinated by a Service Coordinator from the county they reside in.
Family and child centered goals are established through the use of an IFSP, Individual Family Service Plan. These goals are devised by the evaluators and families.

Group therapy is offered for children ages 0-3 at Adirondack Enrichment to support goals established by the family.

All groups enhance social, emotional, speech and language as well as fine and gross motor development through play skills. Children are introduced to many new and challenging activities to enhance their overall development.
Sessions typically include the following:

Fine Motor Activities (pegs, puzzles, coloring)

Gross Motor Activities (slide, tunnel, Bilbo chairs)

Sensory Activity (water, play dough, shaving cream, rice)

Pretend Play (dolls house, kitchen center)

Snack Time (juice and crackers)
A total communication approach is used to enhance children's communication skills.
This includes the following:

Voice Output Device (when appropriate)
To assist children in understanding language and following simple classroom routines a visual picture system is utilized within the classroom.
